Toronto Police Called on Broker Gus Skarlatakis After Threatening Forced Entry

A severe incident requiring the involvement of the Toronto Police Service exposed a bizarre contradiction involving Broker of Record Gus Skarlatakis. Video footage and a personal email appear to show Skarlatakis explicitly denying any association with a property’s management, only to be seen days later instructing a worker to force entry without providing legal notice.

The Contradiction: “Not Me”

On Wednesday, October 15, Mr. Skarlatakis, operating under his Crescent Real Estate Inc. brokerage email, sent a firm communication to tenants and agents clearly stating that he was not responsible for the location.

“Please note that CCPM Inc. is the property manager for [Property Address], not me,” the email reads. Gus Skarlatakis went on to thank a recipient for “keeping business and personal separate.”

Below is the email where Gus Skarlatakis informs the tenant he does not work with CCPM inc.

The Attempted Forced Entry and Police Response

Mere days after making this written denial, video evidence allegedly shows Mr. Skarlatakis appearing at the same property and instructing his worker to force entry—an action that is illegal without proper notice or authority.

This specific instruction for unauthorized access directly contradicted his earlier written statement denying any role in the property’s management. Furthermore, Skarlatakis reportedly produced no documentation confirming he was acting on behalf of CCPM Inc., the company he had cited as the legitimate manager.

Due to the attempted forced entry, the suspicious circumstances, and the clear lack of legal authority, the tenants were prompted to call Toronto Police to the scene, resulting in the confrontation documented in the first photograph. The issue remains a dangerous conflict between the Broker of Record’s official statement and his subsequent actions on the property.
